Code of Conduct

Be Considerate: Show respect and kindness to ALL participants. Violence, threats to personal safety, and bigotry of any kind will not be tolerated.

Be Consensual: Never touch, grab, grind, thrust, or otherwise make any physical contact with another person’s body without their permission. Never assume. Always ask. By law, a person cannot give consent if they are severely intoxicated or unconscious. “No” means NO.

Be Accountable: Never drink and drive. Watch out for others who have over-consumed and help them find a sober ride. If you see that someone is in trouble, help them or find someone who can. Do not let any behavior, such as threats to personal safety, racist behavior, or non-consensual acts, go unchecked.

MAKE IT A PLACE WHERE EVERYONE CAN FEEL SAFE AND WELCOME

No homophobia. No transphobia.

No racism. No sexism.

No fatphobia. No ableism.

No xenophobia. No classism.

No indigenous appropriation.

Respect is mandatory.

You will be asked to leave otherwise.

Safety

Your safety is our greatest priority and our highest investment for the festival. As in years passed, we have secured private security through Trident Security. Any presence of Bend Police will only be in an official capacity, as a response to an emergency, assisting Trident Security..

For added caution, we suggest arriving and leaving in pairs or groups.

In an emergency, call 911. Aren’t 100% sure if it’s an emergency? Call 911.

Counter-Protestors

If there are counter-protestors present, please do not engage with them. If they are breaking our code of conduct, please find a security guard or event organizer to report them.

“Violence just hurts those who are already hurt… Instead of exposing the brutality of the oppressor, it justifies it.”

- Cesar Chavez

Food & Drinks

Stay hydrated and don’t forget to eat! We will have several food and drink trucks including a 21+ Beer Garden with all your favs, but you are welcome to bring your own food and water. No outside alcoholic beverages will be allowed. No glass containers.

Smoking

Per Bend Parks and Recreation Rules and Regulations:

“2.10   Smoking, vaping, and the use of tobacco or marijuana in any form is prohibited on District property, whether or not in a vehicle.”

Pets

Well-behaved leashed pets and service animals are welcome. You are required to pick up after them.

Attire

Come dressed to the 9’s or just lookin’ fine. We’re excited to see you! Sunscreen is advised.

Parking

Street parking is available along the park and in neighborhoods. Do not block driveways. Do not double park. Additional parking in paid lots/garages downtown; however, we highly suggest utilizing rideshare options.

Whether you choose to join us this year or not, we’re sending you lots of love and a big

We're also thrilled to announce our partnership with

SUS magazine, a dynamic publication dedicated to

"create and foster spaces, both physical and virtual, where 2SLGBTQIA+ people feel included, represented, safe and provided with tools and resources to assist in navigating the world."

Here's a few words from Ruth, the Founder and Publisher of SUS:

"Partnership and collaboration are at the heart of Pride and are two key ways our community has come together since the first brick was thrown at Stonewall. In this spirit, the Bend Pride Coalition x SUS partnership is marching Bend Pride into print media in 2024 with SUS’s inaugural Pride issue!

For Pride this year, SUS is getting cozy with all the people who support Bend Pride by offering ad space with each sponsorship/booth! We couldn’t think of a better way to thank you all for supporting 2SLGBTQIA+ people than by providing more ways to highlight and promote you and your business."

By including ad space in our booth packages, we aim to provide an invaluable opportunity to amplify your visibility within the vibrant 2SLGBTQIA+ community of Central Oregon. This collaboration not only enhances exposure for your businesses but also underscores your unwavering support for the queer community. Together, we're not just making a statement – we're creating meaningful opportunities for growth and solidarity. Join us in championing diversity by securing your ad space through SUS magazine in our Pride booth packages today and we'll see you in June!

TOO much help!

plan your trip

Greyhound offers services from surrounding cities such as Sisters, Redmond, Sunriver, La Pine and more to the Greyhound station located in

Bend.

The Redmond Municipal Airport is located just 26 minutes from the festival venue, and offers direct flights from neighboring markets such as Portland, Seattle, San Francisco, and more!

There are also direct flight options into Eugene and Portland, which are approximately a 2.5-3 hour drive to Bend.

Drake Park is located downtown and walkable from all downtown paid public parking zones/garage, as well as connected by pedestrian bridge to the OldMill District.

* off street parking is very limited around the venue itself and we ask that you respect the surrounding neighborhoods by not blocking driveways or double parking

You can't go wrong with Bend's hotels and Airbnb's but can we just brag for a sec that our favorite local spot Campfire Hotel just won the DEAI award from Travel Oregon?!
